with all the talk about the toy interpreter I did google search and found this interesting site https://ruslanspivak.com/lsbasi-part1/ git https://github.com/rspivak/lsbasi

@Aurel - You should build that interpreter on your forum in O2.
You may learn something.

I have already something better ...
no more TOY.s ;D

Hehe, thanks jbk! :)
But don't be mislead by the word "toy" in Ed's case. What you suggest here is like a nursery rattle toy
(http://www.dhresource.com/albu_1084840397_00-1.260x260/high-quality-baby-toy-car-car-keys-with-lights.jpg)
against Ed's speedster
(http://carsforkids.ru/_mod_files/ce_images/Elektromobili/elektromobil-kids-cars-j245-medium.jpg)
and you've got to have a driver's license to know exactly what you're in for when opening up Ed's sources.
Ed's one may be a "toy" for his inquisitive mind but for others it may remain a mystery behind seven magic seals forever. Ed's "toy" implements the top notch in contemporary interpretation techniques and would run its input probably 50 times faster than 95% of other popular BASIC implementations you're using.
Perhaps what Ed would consider a "toy" is even way ahead of modern 64-bit technology yet because, as he himself says, his toy sources would not yet compile in 64-bit environments they are meant for. :D
