see Attachment of Alysson quote from ALL Basic
Hi Alysson,
You are new to the Aurel and Hardly show, so let me explain my view of it.
Aurel has a problem, something like Tourette's and Tomaaz either doesn't realize or just pretends to take Aurel seriously when Aurel goes off with one of his expletives journeys.
Most people either really like the 3 Stooges or really hate the 3 Stooges, either way most people should know not to take the show seriously.
And by no means what-so-ever should anyone try to get between them and try and fix things. This I eventually learned at BP.org, when trying to moderate a clown-car.
Nobody wants it moderated!
Not even John who gets in and stirs it up every once and awhile.

Aurel really does have valuable contributions to make and calling him a blithering idiot just makes things worse for him and for those who start the name calling.
Sorry Johnno56, maybe this is why we lost you? Sorry, it took me a long time to figure it out, myself.
Well the good thing that came from some of this, is that we have a new member named Mike who would likely support Tomaaz talk of Python and Aurel does explore Python despite the expletives usually aimed at Tomaaz.
Don't know how Mike L would take to all this he doesn't seem to be impressed by Python's resounding success as a PL for Beginners.

Of course you can access the WinAPI from Python: pywin32
BTW, Mike the creator of PySimpleGUI has just registered, maybe he can say a few words ... ;)

Hi Tomaaz,
This looks to me like Administrative approval and encouragement for talk of Python.

Hey Johnno56,
Are you still looking in?
I am wondering how you like it at ALL BASIC?
-
see attachment
Hey John,
I would think most folks could figure that out just by the name "Retrogamecoding and Basicprogramming Forum".
BTW I am glad you decided to stick to your side of the wading pool. My offer still stands but as you know and everyone else, it doesn't matter what I say, it's your decision, always has been and always will B+.
That might reduce the tension around here though I would miss Mike L.
Besides, I would think professional programmers would like to remove their business suits, kick off their shoes and have some real fun programming new or old fashioned BASIC except of course NOT ScritBasic that's no fun!
You know, Mike L, it's not just girls who wanna have fun.

"Script Basic was finished even way back when it first appeared..."(see attachment)
2001 or 2002? I forget, it was done deal back then, no new development needed.
Doesn't that make it dead according to Tomaaz opinion, sorry I still say it's an opinion?

Hi Mark :)
Look what he wrote on allbasic for me
No D&B presence or instances of the Aurel class)
Well ..good for me because i'am stupid and i don't understand english very well.. ;D ;D ;D
or I really must write my own class ( again? ) :o
And one suggestion for your begginer basic - BRUN
you must call it BRUNO - sounds better ..right?
last letter O should be O As Object
-
oups i forgot...
to make and calling him a blithering idiot just makes things worse for him
No Mark ...no i am not insulted at all , and i am not mad on ZXDunny at all ..
infact he have a right, and i am not sensitive on such a things..
this is just a internet not real life :D

Well good then! Glad to hear. Thanks, I was concerned for you.
Opps, almost forgot, are you sure about the O? ;)
OH! Bruno, I had to pronounce it different. I was hearing/imagining Be - Run - Oh.
-
Actually the term "Blithering Idiot" is an endearment - it implies buffoonery rather than malice. If I'd wanted to be nasty I'd have called him a "f*cking moron" or something, but Aurel is actually one of the good guys.

A talented artist and comedian too.

You know (old) Mike it's not just girls who wanna have fun.
As for me, I'd rather have fun with girls, Mark. ;D
And stop calling me "old", will you? 62 is 2 less than (2^3)^2, and I have every reason to recon upon a couple whiskeys at your memorial. :D
("Live long and prosper!" though... :) )

Sorry about the old stuff but we have another Mike (I think) and I didn't want anyone to mistake who I was referencing, would you prefer The Mike or Mike sir or Sir Mike?
Good idea about the whiskeys, a round for all my friends, put it on my tab. :)
-
Mike L. or Mike Lobanovsky will do just fine to avoid confusion if really necessary. I'm not paranoid about using my real name (though somewhat diminutive and informal) on the net. I've got nothing to hide or be ashamed of. Thank you.
-
Sir Mike here... how can I help?
-
You are new to the Aurel and Hardly show...
Laurel and Hardy (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laurel_and_Hardy)? I liked them when I was a kid. :)
-
Sir Mike! you're still with us, good!
Tomaaz, I loved them too.
-
Real punk...

Nah... There was only one great punk band in history:

-
Many would agree but I never really liked The Clash.
Here is a band influenced by The Clash that I do like :)

-
I like many bands influenced by The Clash, but this one is definitely not one of them.
-
Fair enough, each to their own ;D
-
Funny that you've mentioned punk-rock in this topic. I'm about to finish The Clash biography and, while I'm writing these words, their music is playing in the background. :)
-
Clash is really good and i like it ;)
even is some sort of soft-punk of course there are SExPistoLs @@@@@@@@@
-
Here is some clash,
trash talk! (see attached)
OK John, come here and say that! ;D
