It seems to be a huge and nice website for programmers. Is anyone registered there? Is it beginner friendly? Or something for really advanced programmers? I've found eleven Aurels but I don't think "our" Aurel is one of them.

No i am not member there,and to be honest i'm not interested for stackoverflow.
By the way i look few times there for some windows api code but never found something
useful... 
I think that this place in not very beginner friendly...

Aurel, I'm pretty sure you can find useful informations there. The answers look good and also many serious book about programming recommend that place. Maybe it's to advanced for you?

No is not when we talk about native win32 GUI stuff and there is nothing
special-advanced in this api things.-
But as i say people there use templates in form of C# etc or similar junks and
pontificate whole bunch of stories about simple things which i don't like to read.

I'm a member. And to be frank, that's the number one place where I find usefull answers to most of my programming questions It's probably the biggest place for programming discussion on the entire web (... apart from retrogamecoding.org, ofcourse).

But Aurel is very right. If you ask a newbie question you'll be kicked on until you cry for mercy It's not a friendly place.

I can't say that there is no people on stack O with real knowlege and expirience
but the way of standpoint and amount of babeling without reason is to big.

..and yes there are few 'aurels' which are php or db programmers ..etc..

Yes, it is. I know, I got myself involved in to many "babeling" discussions in the past, but I'm trying not to do that any more.

Aurel, that's exactly why Stack Overflow is a good site - they don't have off-topic, they don't allow "general bla bla bla" discussions. Wasn't it you who's said here first that to much "babeling" is not good?

No Tomaz...that is something from editor attitude, he often don't add this warning on python
/ruby topics but when someone ask about Lua(for example) then is not constructive...
man read between the lines...

Just one thing...i just type in search ...double buffering win32 ...
and oh my i expect such a unswers, few people jump to answer like bla..bla...bla..
Ok i agree that some specific questions can find there good helping answer but that is
maybe 10%..and i reallly really think that this place is not for beginner programmers..

For example when some young or new try to ask about pointer..good place is like this:
