JRS Sites

The server my VPS is being hosting on lost a disk in the RAID chain and is on the resyncing phase at this time. I was told an hour or so before the VPS would be active again.

Bad news!

The drives were not recoverable. Fortunately I did full Plesk off site backups to my GoDaddy backup repository site on January 10th, 2016. That is where life is going to begin again from. We are working on restoring the sites on my Amazon 64 bit production server so issue like this shouldn't occur in the future. A good lesson to do your backups because you never know when disaster will strike.

I agree. I've learned necessity of backup since I'd touched a computer with lots of blood lessons.

Tough week but somehow got though it. Everything should be back to normal with only a few posts lost in the server rebuild. Thanks for your patience and understanding through this unusual chain of events. (even a 8 drive RAID array is vulnerable)

The BASM (Basic-Compiler.com) forum is back up. The plan for this site is to do something like what was done here and have a dual purpose. I'm going to segment it to support both Brian Becker's KoolB BASIC to ASM translator/compiler project and the C BASIC project. This is a back burner effort and will jell as I have time.

FYI: www.basic-compiler.org is an ALIAS for the .com site.

I have added C BASIC to the www.Basic-Compiler.com forum. Join us if you have interest in learning C via BASIC clothing.
