Just for curiosity. I was a bit surprised that majority of users here are on Windows. What about mobile devices?

Mobile devices are too hard to look at . I'd rather have a 13 inch screen.

I think it's just a fad. If Windows laptops had been invented after toy phones, I think the fad would have been quickly ended.

Older men (like me) need a screen >= 24 inches.  ;D

I have to agree for things like coding or viewing web forums, but there are a lot of tasks for which a phone form factor is very, very suitable and are very much more suited than a laptop. For instance, I have a Windows laptop here that uses a 7" form factor and I still carry a phone rather than the laptop - the phone fits into my pocket and for maps/browsing on the go it beats a laptop every time.

Of course, whenever I'm sat down then the laptop comes out...

???

Things that are easier to do on mobile devices:
  • reading news
  • checking internet forums, if they have mobile version (this one, sadly, doesn't)
  • checking email
  • using messengers
  • managing/listening to podcasts
  • using maps
  • basic online banking (checking balance etc.)

Things that are harder to do on mobile devices.
  • coding
  • audio editing
  • making music
  • video editing
  • text processing
  • online shopping
  • serious image editing

That's less surprising. Apart from one masochist and a couple of folks who feel to old to be using mobile devices, we have only Android users. ;)

As I recall, the first apple user was Eve.

Ho, ho, ho!

Oh, and btw, I am using Android x86 on my desktop now and then. Just for some of the games, like Xenowerks (using an analog controller).
